Meet Ryan Litzinger: The Versatile Production Expert

From a young age, Ryan knew he was made for the production world. Creating videos and editing by age of 11, he was swept away by the magic of television.

After college, where he studied Film, Mass Media Arts, Journalism and Communications, he began his career at AccuWeather, INC. in Pennsylvania during January of 2011.

He stared as a video technician, working with on-air weather talent and editing news packages. Live technical directing for AccuWeather Network and other Networks like Comcast & Direct TV. Intertwined with daily operations; Ryan would be facilitating breaking weather news and “live shots”.

During his off-time from AccuWeather, Ryan shot and produced projects for clients of his own, creating commercials for businesses in cities across the Northeast United States, including Pittsburgh, the New York City metro and Philadelphia.

Ryan moved West and began his journey with Production Outfitters in July of 2021.

He quickly acquired his Part 107 pilots license for UAVs. As a drone pilot for Production Outfitters he captures awe-inspiring visuals for clients ranging from construction assignments to documentaries to network television such as true-crime on Oxygen Network.

Editorial Press Kits aka “EPKs”, are Production Outfitters’s bread and butter. Much like his colleagues, Ryan is a swiss army knife on the set, serving as a soundman, Producer and camera op for the client on the day.

Breaking news and “live shots” haven’t gone away. Ryan, along with his colleagues are on the ground serving networks like ABC, Inside Edition, CNN and FOX News.

During his off time, Ryan hangs out with his dog Murphy and loves spicy food. He relaxes with hikes and putting pen to paper, writing creative content of his own. He also loves the Pittsburgh Penguins.

Had the opportunity to work with the Production Outfitters team for a National Geographic Learning filming. What a hard working and creative team! I had so much fun during this shoot. It was an absolute pleasure to work with all the team members. I even learned a lot about the process. This was my first time using a teleprompter and the team was great and really patient with walking me through the process! It helped me pick up the skill faster and we were able to wrap up quickly!Would highly recommend if you are looking for a professional, creative and skilled filming team!

Ryan and David were awesome.This was my first time recording a video using a teleprompter. They knew what they were doing (as far as I could tell) and worked calmly and efficiently. They answered my questions and provided just enough help to make me feel comfortable doing the recordings, but not so much that they made me feel stupid. They made just enough small talk to put me at ease but weren’t overly chatty---or weird. No creeper vibes. No “bro” vibes. Just quiet, friendly professionalism. AND they were on time, which in New Mexico is a big deal.This was not a crew or a job I booked. I was just there to record the video for a company I work for (Forbes). If I had work like this to do in the future, they are definitely who I would try to schedule first.

Our equipment hadn't arrived from Denmark, but Gary and his team at Production Outfitters became our friend in need. We got the equipment we needed and Gary also helped us set it up. Definitely the place to rent gear.

Our company needed a quick turnaround on a series of video shorts for a new campaign we are launching. Production Outfitters was my first call. I was referred to Production Outfitters when we needed to crew a 3-month BTS/EPK shoot in Albuquerque and I could not be happier with the experience. Gary, Blaise, and the rest of their team are exceptional at what they do. Not only are they extremely knowledgable about every technical aspect of a fast changing industry, they're also artistic collaborators in the field and have a keen sense of creative problem solving.
